Job description

15-month contract with possibility of extension

KEEN Creative is a strategy-first marketing agency based in Edmonton. For more than 20 years, we’ve worked with organizations across Alberta and North America to solve marketing problems through strategy, creative, digital, web and everything in between.

We’re a collaborative team that cares about doing good work, being good to work with, and leaving the ego at the door.

The role

We’re looking for an Account Lead to join our team for a 15-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

This is a client‑facing role for someone who is organized, thoughtful and comfortable keeping a lot of moving pieces on track. You’ll work closely with our clients and our internal creative, marketing and web teams to make sure projects move forward, expectations are clear, and the work stays aligned with the client’s goals, timeline and budget.

You’ll be the person who knows what’s happening, what needs to happen next, and who needs to know about it.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and become a reliable day-to-day point of contact.
  • Understand client goals, priorities and feedback, and make sure that information makes its way to the right people internally.
  • Keep clients informed about project progress, timelines, scope and budgets.
  • Help navigate questions, changes and concerns as they come up.
Client relationships
  • Manage multiple projects and clients at different stages of development.
  • Keep project timelines, budgets, deliverables and resources on track.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day workflow between account, creative, marketing and web teams.
  • Identify potential issues early and help find practical solutions.
  • Track project details, decisions, approvals and next steps so nothing gets lost along the way.
Project management
  • Schedule, prepare for and lead client meetings, presentations and working sessions.
  • Help facilitate brainstorming and project discussions.
  • Prepare agendas, gather information and make sure the right people are involved.
  • Follow up on decisions and action items.
Internal coordination & administration
  • Work closely with our internal teams to translate client needs into clear project requirements.
  • Coordinate with our finance team on billing information, budgets and invoicing updates.
  • Create new estimates for your clients.
  • Help manage and organize brand and marketing assets.
  • Support the team with research, project documentation and other day-to-day account needs.
What we're looking for:
  • 3–5 years of experience in an agency environment is preferred.
  • Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, project management or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in client service and project management.
  • Experience managing multiple clients and projects at the same time.
  • Experience working with project budgets, timelines and scope.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable gathering client feedback, asking questions and working through concerns.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to keep track of the big picture while managing the details.
  • Familiarity with marketing, analytics, digital marketing and/or web development is an asset.
KEEN might be a great fit if you:
  • Like working with people and are comfortable being the person who keeps things moving.
  • Can juggle competing priorities without losing track of the details.
  • Communicate clearly and aren't afraid to ask questions or flag a problem.
  • Stay calm when plans change or a deadline gets tight.
  • Are willing to own up to mistakes and do what it takes to make things right.
  • Take ownership of your work and don't need to be reminded about every next step.
  • Are curious and willing to learn how things work
  • You thrive in a team environment and can get things done with minimal supervision.
What we offer:
  • Competitive compensation
  • Paid vacation, sick and flex days, plus additional time off during the December holiday break
  • Employee health and dental benefits
  • Flexible and supportive work environment
  • Free parking

This is primarily an in‑person role in our Edmonton office, with some flexibility to work from home on occasion.
