Entrepreneurial Canadian Agency looking to Hire an Account Executive

INTRO:

Our 360˚ Communications company is growing, and we’re looking for an Account Executive to join our dynamic team and grow with us. You’ll be working with some of our industry’s best, on fantastic clients to help create work you can be proud of. You’ll get experience in launching fully integrated marketing campaigns including television, radio, digital & social, OLV, cinema, etc.! JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for the management of projects on specific accounts and acts as a key contact between the agency and clients. Alongside the Account Supervisor/Director, the AE manages the project management process through Creative and Production to deliver the highest quality work in the fastest, most cost-effective manner.

As an AE, you’ll be involved in a huge range of original work from brand positionings to launches, so you’ll need to keep close track of multiple projects and timelines simultaneously. The successful candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience in client services as an Account Coordinator or Account Executive at an advertising or marketing communications agency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Relationship Management

  1. Keep clients up to date on all projects
  2. Ensure all client requests are met in a timely and service-oriented manner
  3. Assist in soliciting the client's perspective on key measures of success
  4. Keep all agency departments informed on client/account developments
  5. Keep abreast of all client industry developments and competition
  6. Conduct and analyze competitive communication and prepare draft client documents for review

Project Management

  1. Keep Account Supervisor/Director informed on project status
  2. Develop internal briefing documents for review by senior account team member
  3. Manage all day-to-day account activities, internal and external
  4. Play an active role in the creative development of projects
  5. Participate in campaign planning and assume responsibility for execution and operational aspects of projects
  6. Prepare specific project documents
  7. Review all creative/production material at every stage
  8. Manage all estimates from preparation to client approval
  9. Manage and/or assist account team members, and assist on other accounts

Administrative Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for set-up and maintenance of account administration tools & materials: central files/server, reference materials, etc.
  2. Organize weekly status meetings/update documents relevant to status meetings
  3. Review status of estimates and dockets
  4. Understand financial terminology and factors that can impact a project budget
  5. Draft agendas for client meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Completed degree preferably in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications
  2. 1-2 years of experience in an account management / agency role
  3. Demonstrated interest and passion for communications/relationship marketing/digital
  4. Detail oriented with outstanding organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  5. Strong client management skills
  6. Proactive and independent problem solver
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  8. Strong presentation skills, both internally and with clients
  9. Digital experience an asset
