Job description

Your primary responsibility will be to source and close new business opportunities. You will be responsible for implementing a plan to grow new business for your segment / channel. Responsibilities will include internal management of client projects, working closely with the Protagon Management, Account Management, Design, and Project Management Teams to ensure client requirements are being met. Responsibilities will also include direct correspondence and liaison with clients along with client meetings and presentations. Travel both in Canada and US may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading the bidding process in RFP processes; providing timely responses and crafting compelling, on-brand messaging in cooperation with the Protagon team.
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns.
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing process improvement that will help Protagon gain market share.
  • Use a variety of strategies and tactics to engage inbound and outbound prospects.
  • Work with marketing to develop compelling and segmented content to nurture leads.
  • Provide analysis regarding lead generation efforts, including cost per lead, value per lead, cost per acquisition, conversion rates, and insight into lead generation channel effectiveness to inform resource allocation.
  • Make strategic recommendations to meet client needs and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities with new prospects, verticals, geographies, etc.
  • Report to SVP Sales on a weekly basis regarding lead generation and lead qualification activities.
  • Interacting with prospects to understand their needs as they relate to Protagon Display Inc.
  • Developing and maintaining records regarding prospects and leads.
  • Market research and ongoing competitive intelligence to inform strategy and positioning.
  • Make recommendations regarding new market opportunities, products / services, pricing to ensure ongoing market share growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Attend and make recommendations regarding Protagon’s brand presence at conferences and industry events.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3+ years in sales, preferably in a Business Development role, preferably in consumer-packaged goods, advertising displays, or related industries.
  • Understanding of omnichannel lead generation trends, strategies, and tactics and related metrics.
  • Knowledge of CRM software, experience with implementation is considered an asset.
  • Experience with ERP Platforms.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Proven track record of achieving business development quotas.
  • High degree of organization and time management.
  • Valid driver’s license.
