Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. in Richmond, BC, is hiring an Access Control Point guard to manage access to the airport's Restricted Area for passengers and staff, in line with company policies and SOPs.

You will verify RAIC, issue passes, monitor vehicle entries, enforce block pass rules, coordinate with SOC/AOC, and provide courteous service while upholding CBSA directives. Hours vary by shift and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide access and egress into and out of the restricted area for both passengers and employees according to the company's policies and procedures.
• Prevent unauthorized and backflow access into restricted areas.
• Control access to restricted areas through verification of RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card).
• Ensure adherence to block pass requirements for individuals accessing the restricted area while escorting.
• Ensure goods entering comply with the Secure Supply Chain Security program.
• Enforce Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations and directives.
• Report emergency situations to the Security Operations Centre (SOC) or Airport Operations Centre (AOC).
• Issue block passes and vehicle plates upon request by the Airport Authority.
• Inspect vehicles entering the restricted area for unauthorized individuals and verify valid entitlement documents for each occupant.
• Report program, security, or customs violations to the SOC.
• Facilitate the opening and closing of access control posts.
• Provide customer service to both passengers and employees.
• Maintain a clear understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor or their designate.
