Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking an experienced Security Professional to join our Kelowna Airport team. The role includes interior/exterior patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and urgent response support, with strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

You will work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment, with part-time or casual availability. A BC security license and valid Canadian residency are required, along with a valid driver's license and computer skills.

Qualifications

• BC Security License with previous security experience.
• Residence in Canada for 5+ years and ability to obtain government clearance (RAIC).
• BC Class 5/BC Driver's License with clear driving record.
• Comfortable using a computer.
• Excellent problem solving and ability to work under pressure.
• Able to stand/walk long periods outdoors in weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior patrols of the airport.
• Provide first-class customer service to clients and the public.
• Manage Access Control and CCTV Monitoring.
• Proactively respond to emergencies and conflicts.
• Maintain detailed daily logs and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with staff and support the Site Supervisor.

Permanent Part time: Friday to Sunday 3pm till 11pm
OR
Permanent Casual:Thursday and Friday 10pm till 6am
Permanent Casual: Saturday and Sunday10pm till 6am
Payrate: $23.18/hr
Some of your responsibilities include:

• Completing interior and exterior patrols of the airport
• Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public
• Access Control
• CCTV Monitoring
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
• Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
• Effectively communicating with other staff about problems and concerns
• Supporting the Site Supervisor as required
