The University of Alberta is seeking an Academic Department Manager to provide strategic administrative leadership for two Academic Departments within the Alberta School of Business. The ADM will design and manage efficient systems covering finance, human resources, teaching and research support, reporting to the Faculty General Manager.

This hybrid role combines remote and on-site work at North Campus, Edmonton, with an initial 18-month appointment and potential secondment opportunities.

Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

Reporting to the Faculty General Manager and providing operational support to 2 Department Chairs, the Academic Department Manager (ADM) is accountable for the design, implementation and management of efficient and effective administrative systems for two Academic Departments within the Alberta School of Business. The ADM will focus on strategic planning, financial management, human resources, teaching and research support while ensuring that all operating policies and procedures support the School’s pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and service.
