Job summary

Inflector Environmental Services is seeking an Abatement Laborer to join our team of demolition and environmental abatement experts in the Cape Breton region of Nova Scotia. This on-site role involves demolition, remediation, and abatement work, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include setting up containment areas, safely removing asbestos, lead paint, mold, and other contaminants, and performing cleaning and disposal tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in hazardous materials abatement and remediation preferred.
• Construction industry experience would be an asset.
• Able to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance an asset.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to wear required PPE such as full face respirator and Tyvek suit.
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs unaided.
• Must be able to commute to and from job sites with own means.

PLEASE NOTE: These positions are on‑site roles and are signatory with the Labourer's International Union of North America (LiUNA - Local 39). Work locations may vary depending on the project. This position is located within Cape Breton, NS and surrounding areas.

About the Position
