Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. seeks an AAT Co-Op Laboratory Technician to support the QC Laboratory, with responsibilities in material sampling, testing and data entry for asphalt materials.

The role focuses on learning ASTM/AASHTO standards, performing tests such as DSR, RTFO, PAV, and Viscosity, and contributing to safety and quality assurance in a collaborative team environment. This is an 8–12-month co-op starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Current student from a Civil, Chemical or Materials Engineering program or related discipline.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organization, communication and planning skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Must adhere to safety protocols and wear Amrize PPE, including respirators.

• Extraction and recovery of recycled asphalt materials.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your responsibilities include material sampling and testing of raw materials for use in asphalt. The objective of this position is to support the Amrize Asphalt Technologies (AAT) QC Laboratory in day-to-day tasks and learn about asphalt material.

This position is available for an 8–12-month term starting in January 2027.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (\"PPE\"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
