Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a skilled 421A Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy machinery used in metal recycling. The role offers a full-time, permanent position with an hourly rate starting at $39, plus overtime after 44 hours, and an RRSP matching program.

You will work with a team to ensure equipment reliability and safety. Qualified candidates hold a 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License, have experience as a 421A Mechanic, and can interpret manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License and proven experience as a 421A Mechanic.

• Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment used in metal recycling operations
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
• Troubleshoot and identify issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Complete repairs and replacements of faulty components, adhering to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair tasks efficiently

Qualifications
