421A Heavy Equipment Mechanic Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced 421A Supervisor to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. The role offers both day and afternoon shifts on a bi-weekly rotation, Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 421A mechanics in daily operations
• Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on heavy machinery used in metal recycling
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Complete repairs, replacements, and adhere to safety and quality standards
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks effectively

Qualifications:

• Valid 421A certification
• Previous experience as a 421A Mechanic or Supervisor
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read manuals and schematics
• Proficient in diagnosing equipment issues
• Physical ability to handle job demands, including lifting and working outdoors
