IS2 in Calgary is seeking third-year Apprentice Welders actively pursuing their welding ticket. Starting pay is $36.90 CAD per hour, plus overtime premiums. This full-time opportunity is in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where you read blueprints, weld light-gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Third-year apprenticeship training and working toward your ticket.
• Experience with FCAW and GMAW; GTAW/TIG experience preferred for Journeyman level.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting welding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW (TIG) welding on light-gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld specifications to ensure accurate results.
• Ensure all welds meet company quality requirements and industry standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Take pride in producing precise, reliable work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
