Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a Johnson Controls subsidiary, seeks a Project Manager to oversee on-site electrical and HVAC projects in Nisku, AB. The role requires Journeyman Electrician credentials, strong safety practices, and teamwork to deliver reliable data center solutions.

You will work in a commercial/industrial environment, reading schematics, testing units, and coordinating with the production team while ensuring compliance with company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Electrician in Alberta or equivalent certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electrical documentation.
• Basic mechanical skills and willingness to learn unit operations.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals.
• Knowledge of electrical test meters and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HVAC unit operates and passes functional tests per standards.
• Accurately complete testing reports for each unit.
• Safely connect electrical circuits and energize using PPE.
• Operate and test unit running functions and perform shut-downs.
• Identify and mitigate hazards during operation; follow safety guidelines.

We have openings for this role at our facilities in Nisku and Sherwood Park and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Friday to Sunday Nightshift (6:00 PM - 6:00AM)

Able to work alone as well as within a team environment, committed to ensuring the HVAC unit operates and passes all functional tests as per company standards

Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), binary input/outputs and analogue inputs/outputs

Testing reports are required to be filled out with accuracy and completion for each unit

Able to safely hook up electrical connections and energize using proper PPE and safety guidelines

Able to safely start, operate and perform unit running functions and shut down

Ability to recognize and mitigate hazards that arise while the HVAC unit is in operational condition and respond effectively

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Certified Journeyman Electrician in Alberta or equivalent provincial certification preferred.

Basic computer skills and knowledge

Basic mechanical skills and desire to understand and learn unit operations

Good communication skills; verbal and written

Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, systems or operations and unit operation manuals

Working knowledge of electrical test meters, tools and related equipment

Working Conditions

Commercial/Industrial environment.

Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools. caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.

Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).

Ability to work in a safe manner by being knowledgeable and following Company safety Guidelines and expectations

Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code

Long periods of standing.

Overtime as required.
