Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Thunder Bay is seeking a Third Cook for a part‑time role. You will prepare and present food in a fast‑paced kitchen, maintaining strict food safety standards and a clean work space.

We offer an hourly rate of $20.21, with potential increases and a competitive benefits package for eligible staff. Candidates should have a secondary school diploma or 1 year related experience, knife skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Proper preparation and presentation of food with strict safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workspace in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with inventory and putting orders away.
• Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• A secondary school diploma or 1 year related experience.
• Safe food handling course and knife handling skills.
• Ability to obtain Category 2 Gaming Assistant registration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

What You Bring

• The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming and Commission of Ontario
• Proven high level of Customer Service
• The ability to work and excel in a fast-paced large volume business
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in hot, cold and humid environments
