Job summary

Gateway Casinos in Squamish is seeking a Third Cook to join a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package, with opportunities for training and career growth.

The ideal candidate has a secondary school diploma or equivalent, knife handling skills, and a proven record of excellent customer service in busy environments. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Proper preparation and presentation of food with strict adherence to food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work space in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the requirements of the Board of Health
• Assist with inventory and putting orders away
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner
• Adhere to departmental quality standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring

• A secondary school diploma or a minimum of one-year related work experience
• Safe food handling course, knife handling skills
• Proven high level of Customer Service
• The ability to work and excel in a fast-paced large volume business
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
