Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated T Truck Mechanic to join their Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and heavy equipment, contributing to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

Our client sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America, ensuring these valuable resources do not end up in landfills or go to waste. Their advanced recycling stream gives new life to metal materials, supporting a circular economy and a cleaner planet.

T Truck Mechanic

Location : Toronto – Steeles and Weston Road

Shifts Available : Day and Afternoon Shift

Openings & Shift : (1 needed Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm) and (1 needed Monday to Thursday 2pm to 11pm and Fridays 2pm to 9pm) (2 positions total)

Compensation : Competitive starting wage based on experience DOE

Benefits : Company offers a tool allowance annually and 3 weeks of vacation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair company trucks and trailers
• Conduct preventative maintenance and CVI (Commercial Vehicle Inspection) inspections
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled (running) repairs based on inspection findings
• Repair forklifts, skid steers, and cranes where applicable
• Maintain accurate service records and complete required paperwork in compliance with regulations
• Manage inventory of parts and initiate orders as needed
• Provide technical support to drivers and equipment operators

Requirements

• Valid T Truck and Coach Technician Certification
• 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Physically capable of performing demanding tasks in all weather conditions
