Job summary

All-Equip/Platinum Trailers in St. Marys, ON seeks a licensed 310T Technician to work on heavy trucks, trailers, and purpose-built equipment. You’ll handle standard fleet maintenance as well as custom builds, with opportunities to participate in OEM trailer assembly and collaboration with our manufacturing team.

Expect a bustling, hands-on shop where no two days are the same, strong diagnostic work, and a focus on safety. This is a full-time, on-site role with day shifts at our Ontario facility.

Qualifications

• Valid 310T (Truck and Coach Technician) license.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
• Able to read and interpret service manuals and technical documentation.
• Clear communication with team and accurate documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physically capable of a demanding shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy trucks, trailers, and tractors.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostic tests, and troubleshooting on custom builds where standard procedures may not apply.
• Service and repair custom and specialty heavy equipment as needed.
• Identify root causes accurately and minimize downtime for fleet and customers.
• Update and maintain work orders accurately—paper and computerized.
• Communicate clearly with the shop team and service advisors on status and parts needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area with PPE and safety procedures.
• Support and mentor apprentices, sharing knowledge and guiding technique.
• Support the broader shop with additional duties and maintenance as needed.

At All‑Equip, you’ll work on everything from standard heavy trucks and trailers to purpose‑built specialty equipment — and occasionally step into OEM trailer assembly or troubleshooting alongside our manufacturing team. Work Arrangement

Full‑Time, Fully On‑site, Monday to Friday, day shift depending on production needs. This is hands‑on assembly work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Compensation

This is a hourly position paying $36-$48/hr depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including Extended Health Care, Dental, and RRSP contributions. Overtime is available for those who want it.

The Role

As our 310T Technician, you’ll work across a genuinely diverse scope of equipment. Standard fleet maintenance is part of the job — but so is custom and specialty work on purpose‑built heavy equipment: crane trucks, tow trucks, tankers, dump trucks, and vehicles that don’t always come with a straightforward service manual. Beyond repair and service, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in OEM trailer assembly, giving you a rare look at how the equipment is designed and built from the ground up.

In a typical week, you’ll move between scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnostic work on complex systems, and hands‑on repairs across a wide range of makes, models, and configurations. No two days are quite the same — which is exactly the point.

Key Responsibilities
