Tomlinson Group of Companies is seeking a 310T Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of vehicles. Job location is 970 Moodie Drive in Ottawa, Ontario, with an evening shift from 2PM to 12AM.

Responsibilities include testing and adjusting repaired systems to specifications, performing maintenance such as oil changes and tune ups, inspecting engines and drive trains, diagnosing faults, and completing service reports.

310T Mechanic

Tomlinson is looking for a 310T Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of vehicles.

Job Location: 970 Moodie Drive

Vacancy Type: Replacement

Shift: Evening shift (2PM-12AM)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
• Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools
• Test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
• Some field work is required

REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Climbing, bending, crouching, lifting
• Working in an environment with loud noises such as running trucks, air breaks, horns, power tools, etc.
• Working both indoors and outdoors

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience. This position includes a $2.00 night premium after 6:00pm.
