Job summary

GLS Canada is seeking a full-time automotive technician in Brampton, Ontario. The role focuses on servicing GLS equipment with two shifts: Days and Afternoons. A valid 310T license is required, and AZ/license benefits are noted as nice-to-have qualifications. A generous sign-on bonus is offered.

The job includes comprehensive vehicle inspections, maintenance planning, and accurate CMMS documentation. The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a small shop environment.

Qualifications

• Valid 310T license required for driving and inspections.
• AZ license is a plus for additional vehicle handling.
• Forklift license is a plus for warehouse/yard work.
• Reefer/Heater experience is beneficial for GLS equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and coordinate inspections, maintenance and repairs for vehicles and equipment as required.
• Coordinate with operations to plan equipment readiness and downtime.
• Accurately explain and write all work performed and resources used into CMMS.
• Identify the causes (diagnostics) of malfunctions and plan to eliminate recurring causes.
• Check and accurately complete work orders (time and parts taken for repairs).
• Ensure the correct labour times are applied for repairs and inform supervisor if additional time/repairs are required.
