Job summary

Elliott Coach Lines in Elmira is seeking a 310T Licensed Technician (Mechanic) to maintain the fleet of school buses and other vehicles. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs as part of a fast-paced team.

The role emphasizes safety and compliance with Company, Provincial, and Federal regulations, with interactions across drivers, dispatchers, and managers. Apprentices may be considered for this position.

Qualifications

• 310T Certification required and in good standing.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Strong knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal safety provisions.
• Experience with preventative maintenance in the School Bus industry is an asset.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake and safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections monthly.
• Perform service calls and cold starts as needed.
• Adhere to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional vehicle repairs as needed.
• Complete reports documenting problems and work performed.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults.
• Diagnose faults and confirm findings with supervisor to decide on repair or replacement.
