Job summary

CRH Canada Group Inc. in Kitchener is seeking a 310T Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair the Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles.

You will perform inspections, diagnose issues and carry out scheduled maintenance so that operations stay on schedule and on budget. The role requires a valid 310T Truck & Coach license or an approved training agreement, a Class G driver’s license, and strong knowledge of diesel engines and air brake systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps/motors, and air brake systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a safety-first approach.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to local sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of ready-mix trucks through preventative and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform removal, rework and installation of engine and chassis components.
• Use diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns and order parts.
• Maintain parts inventory and document repairs on work orders.
• Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on equipment availability.
• Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment.
• Follow shop procedures and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• All other duties as required.

Position Summary

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnosis, & repair ready-mix trucks through preventative & scheduled maintenance.
• Perform removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components.

• Order required parts and maintaining parts inventory.

• All other duties as required.

Requirements

• Valid 310T Truck & Coach license or a registered training agreement.
• Valid class ‘G’ Driver’s License.
• Sound working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps/motors, and air brake systems.
