Job summary

Voyago in Ottawa is hiring a 310T Automotive Apprentice Mechanic (2nd–4th year) for our Ottawa Garage. You will evaluate vehicle safety, perform preventative maintenance, and repair using parts from inventory or Fleet Management orders.

You must be in 2nd–4th year, with ODP certification and A/C experience. Expect Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, and a competitive hourly rate with room to grow as you gain expertise.

Qualifications

• You must be in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of STO 310T Automotive Apprentice Mechanic.
• ODP certification with A/C experience is required.
• Experience with light duty diesel and gasoline repair is preferred.
• Valid G class license and clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and ensure vehicle safety through preventative maintenance and compliance with MTO and Voyago guidelines.
• Order/obtain parts via Fleet Management software and use inventory for repairs.
• Complete repairs in a timely manner and service vehicles per corporate policies.
• Keep the work environment clean and report PM service logs and signed driver repair logs.
• Submit required reports as directed and maintain accurate documentation.

Job description

Voyago is hiring 310T Automotive Apprentice Mechanic (2nd - 4th year) for our Ottawa Garage.

Your Role

• You are responsible for evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance as required and all in compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines.
• You will utilize parts from inventory or order parts necessary through the Fleet Management software to make repairs.
• You will complete repairs in a timely manner.
• You will be servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
• You will keep work environment clean and tidy.
• You will complete required reports as directed (i.e. sign-off on driver-initiated repair logs and log books, and PM service logs by division).

Scheduled Shift:

Monday to Friday - 8 Hour Shift

Hourly rate:

$30.00/hr to $32.00/hr

Your Profile

• You are registered with the STO as 310T Automotive Apprentice Mechanic - must be in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
• You have ODP certification with A/C experience.
• You have experience and working knowledge of light duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline.
• You have Superior written and verbal communication skills and sound organizational competencies.
• You demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
• You have excellent proven customer service experience.
• You have a valid G class driving license.
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening
