Job summary

Kal Tire in Thunder Bay, ON is seeking a 310S Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our dealership-level shop, servicing a variety of vehicles and performing diagnostics, with growth opportunities and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications include 310S certification and a valid driver’s license, plus 3+ years working on brakes, suspensions, and alignments. We offer starting wages of CAD 37.93–45.00/hour, with a $5,000 recruitment bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Automotive Service Technician 310S or Licensed Mechanic.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with brakes, shocks, and wheel alignment.
• Experience with diagnostics, inspections, service and repair on various vehicles.
• Safety conscious; PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices, sharing expertise to develop their skills in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team on a range of vehicles from standard cars to light trucks.
• Assist in identifying potential mechanical opportunities with the Sales team.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.
