Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 310J Trailer Mechanic to be an integral member of our Fleet Maintenance team. You will play a key role in keeping our trucks and trailers operating safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical ability, effective communication with drivers, and a commitment to high-quality repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues based on driver and owner/operator reports
• Perform preventative maintenance, including brake systems, steering/suspension, electrical diagnostics, and more
• Conduct initial inspections using test drives and diagnostic instruments
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and cost-effectively
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and work orders
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure fleet safety
• Utilize and store shop tools properly, maintaining a clean and safe workspace
• Assist in creating and following preventative maintenance schedules
• Provide respectful and professional communication with drivers and team members

What You Bring

• Valid 310J certification (Required)
• Experience working with transport trucks and trailers (Required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic in the transportation industry
• Valid G driver’s license (A or D license considered an asset)
• Strong mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with work order software
• Flexible schedule, with availability for different shifts
