Job summary

Grand River Personnel Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Support Coordinator for a full-time contract opportunity in Bright, Ontario. The role supports production and logistics by coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, and assisting dispatch with weigh-ins and load instructions.

The position runs about 3–4 months with potential to become permanent. Hourly wage range between $20.00 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight coordination, dispatch, logistics, shipping/receiving, or administrative support.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP or Transportation Management Systems is a plus.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with warehouse, yard, and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, suppliers, and customers.
• Track deliveries and communicate shipment updates to internal teams and customers.
• Assist with freight quotes, rate requests, and transportation coordination.
• Support dispatch operations by operating the truck scale and directing load instructions to yard staff.
• Serve as the first point of contact for truck drivers, customers, and visitors.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, customs, and transportation documentation.
• Update ERP/TMS systems with order and shipment status information.
• Assist with order entry and general administrative support duties.
• Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Provide operational support across multiple departments as required.
