We are seeking a dynamic and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that requires a dedicated and proactive individual with a strong background in maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and machinery, working with a variety of systems and tools. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and experience in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including mills, lathes, gearboxes, and motors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems, as well as various sensors and photo eyes.
  • Work with a range of power tools and perform fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Operate and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Work with various voltage systems, including 120V, 240V, and 480V, and have a solid understanding of both AC and DC electrical systems.
  • Utilize CMMS to track and manage maintenance tasks and inventory.
  • Adhere to strict safety procedures, including Lockout Tagout protocols.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Be available to work the 2nd shift, demonstrating reliability and commitment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC, mills, lathes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and power tools.
  • Solid understanding of various voltage systems, including 120V, 240V, and 480V, and both AC and DC electrical motor systems.
  • Experience with CMMS and fabrication tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including Lockout Tagout.
  • Experience with 3 phase and 5 phase electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, sensors, and photo eyes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certification or degree highly preferred.
