ATCO Frontec is seeking a 2nd Cook to join the Camp Services team at Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia. The role involves preparing a wide variety of foods and inspecting food and equipment daily, weekly, and monthly to maintain high standards.

The position offers a rotational schedule with on-site meals, accommodation, and amenities provided. A food safety certificate is required and 2–3 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking.
• Must hold a valid food safety certificate.
• 2–3 years’ experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Professional communication skills, oral and written.
• Work well under pressure.

Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 2 nd Cook to join our Camp Services team a t Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia, approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. The 2 nd Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods and meals, made and served to the highest standard possible. They are responsible for inspecting food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

The rate for this position is $27.61 an hour.

• Support kitchen operations in a professional manner
• Knowledgeable in safety while operating the required equipment
• Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner
