Job summary

MLSE Partnership is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to prepare menu items and condiments in a high-volume, fast-paced environment at our Toronto venues. You will follow Toronto Public Health guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace while delivering championship service.

This role requires availability evenings, weekends and holidays, food handler certification is a plus, and the ability to train others and work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certification is an asset (Basics.fst, Toronto Public Health, or equivalent).
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Knife-handling skills an asset.
• Knowledge and skill level to work in a variety of kitchen locations.
• Willing to learn and apply Quick Service recipe specifications within a designated time frame.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a team-focused environment

Responsibilities

• Gather, wash, cut, season, cook and store quality ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area per health guidelines.
• Maintain personal hygiene and proper uniform during duty.
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients with rotation.
• Demonstrate safe use of kitchen equipment.
• Maintain high quality and consistency of food items.
• Report equipment problems and product discrepancies to supervisor.
• Perform duties as delegated by Supervisors.
• Assist and train co-workers on product knowledge and teamwork.
• Direct and delegate tasks to co-workers when needed.
• Adhere to MLSE service standards and health & safety policies.
• Comply with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
