Job summary

MLSE Partnership is seeking a dedicated Food Handler to join the Scotiabank Arena Culinary team in Toronto. You will prepare menu items and condiments, maintain a clean, safe work area, and follow Toronto Public Health guidelines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Evenings, weekends and holidays availability is required; certification is assets. Compensation is $24 per hour. Join a team that delivers championship service while upholding MLSE standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

  • Food handler certification is preferred (Toronto Public Health accepted).
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Knife-handling skills are an asset.
  • Able to work in multiple kitchen locations.
  • Willing to learn Quick Service recipe specs within deadlines.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and team communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, wash, cut, season, cook, and store quality ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and proper uniform.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Demonstrate safe use of kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain high quality and consistency.
  • Report equipment problems and product discrepancies to a Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as delegated by Supervisors.
  • Train co-workers on product knowledge and teamwork.
  • Direct and delegate tasks to co-workers.
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and Health & Safety policies.
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
