Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Maintain shift log entries during each shift to ensure full awareness of any outstanding issues that may require special attention during the shift.
  • Verify operation efficiency of the turbine generator, boilers, and auxiliaries using Delta V (DCS).
  • Assume responsibility for the plant when Shift Engineer is absent.
  • Perform equipment monitoring and operating system checks to remain compliant with TSSA.
  • Monitor steam, condensate, water treatment, wood waste, effluent handling, turbine generator, and support systems.
  • Understand water treatment and cooling water monitoring processes.
  • Understand boiler chemistry and boiler support systems such as combustion/CEMS, fuel, and ash handling.
  • Support and assist with any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2nd Class Power Engineer certification (TSSA).
  • Requires considerable sensory attention and regulatory responsibility.
  • Requires excellent mathematical skills, verbal communication skills, and mental reasoning skills.
  • Wear appropriate PPE required to work in hot, dirty, and chemical handling environments.

  • Capacité à vérifier l’efficacité du fonctionnement du turbo‑alternateur, des chaudières et des auxiliaires à l’aide du système Delta V (DCS).
  • Être capable d’assumer la responsabilité de l’usine en l’absence de l’ingénieur de quart.
  • Capacité à effectuer la surveillance de l’équipement et les vérifications du système d’exploitation pour rester en conformité avec la TSSA.
  • Capacité à surveiller la vapeur, le condensat, le traitement de l’eau, les déchets de bois, le traitement des effluents, le générateur de turbine et les systèmes de soutien.
  • Comprendre les processus de traitement de l’eau et de surveillance de l’eau de refroidissement.
  • Comprendre la chimie des chaudières et les systèmes de soutien des chaudières tels que la combustion / le CEMS, le combustible et la manipulation des cendres.
  • Apporter son soutien et son aide dans le cadre de toute autre tâche qui lui est confiée.
Exigences
  • Diplôme de mécanicien de machines fixes de 2ème classe (TSSA).
  • Nécessité d’une grande attention sensorielle et d’une grande responsabilité en matière de réglementation.
  • Excellentes compétences en mathématiques, en communication verbale et en raisonnement mental.
  • Porter l’EPI approprié pour travailler dans des environnements chauds, sales et où l’on manipule des produits chimiques.
