Job summary

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation is seeking a Development Officer to inspire philanthropic support and manage donor relations. You will identify potential donors, qualify interests, cultivate relationships, solicit contributions, and provide stewardship.

You will collaborate with Foundation staff, hospital leaders, physicians, and volunteers to secure gifts and meet fundraising targets in healthcare philanthropy. This temporary full-time role runs Nov 2026–Nov 2027.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of fundraising experience.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)

• -Successful completion of post-secondary degree or diploma and/or equivalent experience.


• -CFRE designation is an asset.


• -Minimum of five (5) years of fundraising experience, preferably in health care and/or post-secondary educational setting or equivalent transferable experience.


• -Demonstrated success in securing major gifts.


• -Experience meeting and exceeding fundraising targets.


• -Superior interpersonal and collaboration skills - able to engage and interact effectively with all levels of the organization and key stakeholders.


• -Experience in creating and presenting compelling proposals to donors.


• -Proficient in the use of all corporate productivity tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as Raiser's Edge or other donor database management systems.
