Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director will lead the development and execution of strategies that secure transformational philanthropic support for Northumberland Hills Hospital. This role is integral to advancing the Foundation’s mission by building meaningful, long‑term relationships with donors, volunteers, community leaders, and strategic partners.
The successful candidate is a collaborative and results‑driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, inspires confidence and trust, and brings proven success securing significant gifts. The Director will play a key role in strengthening philanthropic engagement and helping shape the future of healthcare in west Northumberland County.
A seasoned professional, the ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of exceptional organizational, analytical, communication, and relationship‑building skills, along with a strong understanding of donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and campaign strategy. Experience in healthcare philanthropy is preferred; however, candidates with transferable leadership and fundraising experience from related sectors are encouraged to apply.

Located approximately 100 kilometres east of Toronto, NHH delivers a broad range of acute, post‑acute, outpatient and diagnostic services. The hospital serves the catchment area of west Northumberland County, a mixed urban and rural population of approximately 67,000 residents.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT
Successful applicants are required provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, that was complete less than one year from the date of hire. This requirement must be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
Additionally, to the above, successful applicants are also required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process which includes providing an up‑to‑date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
