Job summary

Lakeridge Health Oshawa is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Rehab IRU within the Healthy Aging program. This Regular Part Time role involves 12-hour shifts including days, nights and weekends. Location: Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

The RN will provide direct nursing care, perform assessments, administer treatments, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to promote patient wellbeing. Requires current RN registration in Ontario and BCLS, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Wage Schedule: $41.150 - $58.980 per hour

This position is open to all qualified ONA staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 18 August 2026 and closing at 11:59 pm on 25 August 2026.

Duties And Responsibilities

According to the updated standards and current scope of practice as set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the policies of Lakeridge Health Corporation, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients whose conditions are stabilized; administer treatments as ordered by physicians and assigned by Clinical Leader or Charge Nurse; observe and enforce infection control principles and aseptic techniques required in the prevention of nosocomial and communicable diseases; and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited community college;
  • Current B.C.L.S.;
  • Current Medication Certificate with the ability to administer medications to patients;
  • Proven related experience in a Continuing Care Unit or similar environment;
  • Updated nursing skills including Aseptic Techniques and Patient Assessment courses;
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and teaching skills;
  • Proven communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families, physicians and colleagues;
  • The ability to effectively prioritize work;
  • The ability to effectively lift, turn and transfer patients manually and with the assistance of mechanical aids;
  • Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;
  • Must have satisfactory performance record;
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety program and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education in this area.
