School District #91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking a Learning Support Worker to support students at William Konkin Elementary. The role runs 5.5 hours per day, five days a week, with a continuing position starting as soon as possible.

You will collaborate with teachers and specialists to deliver regular or alternate programs, work with students individually or in groups, and act as an advocate on the school-based team where needed.

Formación

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program.
• 6 months of experience working with children/youth who have intellectual/behavioral or multiple disabilities.
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Works with school and district staff to foster and develop the individual student's potential under the direction of the teacher and other related professionals
• Provides assistance to teachers and other professionals in the delivery of regular or alternate programs with a group or individual students
• Functions as an advocate for the students and as a member of the school-based team where required

Please note, the rate of pay above is based on a Certified Learning Support Worker. Should you not have the required qualifications, you will be paid at the Uncertified Learning Support Worker rate ($26.72).
