We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technologist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and project coordination skills in the planning, design, and implementation of development projects that support the growth and sustainability of our community.

Desirable Training And Experience
Graduation from an Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Engineering Technology or related discipline, plus considerable related municipal experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of municipal design, engineering standards, and land servicing requirements, including relevant bylaws, policies, regulations, and permitting processes. Knowledge of methods, practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in municipal utilities design and construction. Familiarity with soil mechanics, stabilization, and erosion control. Sound knowledge of engineering practices, plans, specifications, and technical data interpretation. Proficiency in engineering and mapping software including CAD and GIS. Ability to interpret municipal bylaws, regulations, and legislation. Skills in project planning, research, budgeting, and tendering. Ability to review technical drawings, evaluate development impacts, and prepare detailed reports. Capable of providing technical advice and resolving compliance issues. Strong record-keeping and communication skills.
REQUIRED LICENCES, CERTIFICATES AND REGISTRATIONS
Certification or eligibility for certification as an Applied Science Technologist within British Columbia or Engineer in Training (EIT). Class 5 Driver's Licence for BC.
