Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is seeking a Long Term Occasional Elementary Support Teacher (0.4 FTE) for Mary Immaculate Catholic School in Chepstow. The role focuses on daily coverage and mentoring during a teacher’s final practicum, with duties including coaching in classroom management, and collaborative co-teaching to support Grade 5 and 6 students.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Registration for Ontario College of Teachers valid for elementary assignment.
• Qualifications in Junior Division.
• Special Education qualification (asset).
• Religious Education Certificate Part I or Letter of Equivalency (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily coverage and support to a Teacher during their practicum.
• Mentor and coach, including classroom management and report card writing.
• Assist with co-teaching and other supports as deemed beneficial.

Posting 2027-136: Long Term Occasional Elementary Support Teacher (0.4 FTE) MIC

This position is to provide daily coverage and support to a Teacher with a Transitional Certificate in their final practicum in order for them to complete their educational requirements. The teacher will also provide mentorship, coaching (ex. classroom management and report card writing), co-teaching, and other supports deemedbeneficial.

• Duties to commence October 19, 2026 and end on or about December 16, 2026 (or earlier if circumstances change)
• Schedule: Monday's, and Wednesday's
• Location: Mary Immaculate Catholic School, Chepstow
• Grade(s): Grade 5 and 6

Qualifications:

• Hold a Certificate of Registration for Ontario College of Teachers valid for assignment as an Elementary Teacher at the time of application.
• Hold qualifications in Junior Division.
• Hold qualification in Special Education (an asset).
• Hold a Religious Education Certificate Part I or a Letter of Equivalency (preferred).
