Job summary

Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board seeks a Long Term Occasional Elementary Support Teacher (0.4 FTE) to provide daily coverage and support to a Teacher with a Transitional Certificate in their final practicum at Holy Family Catholic School, Hanover.

The role includes mentorship, coaching (classroom management and report card writing), co-teaching, and other supports as needed, with duties commencing Oct 19, 2026 and ending around Dec 16, 2026, Monday and Wednesday schedule.

Qualifications

• Ontario College of Teachers certification valid for elementary assignment.
• Qualifications in Intermediate Division.
• FSL qualifications preferred.
• Special Education qualification is an asset.
• Religious Education Certificate Part I or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily coverage and support to a teacher in their practicum.
• Mentorship and coaching in classroom management and report card writing.
• Co-teaching and other supports deemed beneficial.

This position is to provide daily coverage and support to a Teacher with a Transitional Certificate in their final practicum in order for them to complete their educational requirements. The teacher will also provide mentorship, coaching (ex. classroom management and report card writing), co-teaching, and other supports deemedbeneficial.

• Duties to commence October 19, 2026 and end on or about December 16, 2026 (or earlier if circumstances change).
• Schedule: Monday's, and Wednesday's
• Location: Holy Family Catholic School, Hanover
• Grade(s): Grade 7, 8, and Core French

Qualifications:

• Hold a Certificate of Registration for Ontario College of Teachers valid for assignment as an Elementary Teacher at the time of application.
• Hold qualifications in Intermediate Division.
• Holds qualifications in FSL (preferred).
• Hold qualification in Special Education (an asset).
• Hold a Religious Education Certificate Part I or a Letter of Equivalency (preferred).
