Job summary

Edmonton Catholic Schools invites new graduate teachers to apply for teaching positions for the remainder of the 2026 school year. Interviews are conducted throughout the calendar year, and successful candidates may be placed directly into a contract position aligned with their credentials.

All teachers (substitutes and contract) must be Catholic unless specialized in CTS/CTF, Indigenous experiences, or languages.

• Alberta Teaching Certificate required or in progress.

Edmonton Catholic Schools is accepting new graduate applications for the remainder of the 2026 school year. Applications are accepted and interviews are conducted for teaching positions throughout the calendar year. Once hired, successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply for internal contact opportunities or be placed directly into a contract position that is aligned with their credentials, based on the needs of the division.

Edmonton Catholic Schools requires all teachers (substitutes and contract teachers) to be Catholic unless specialized in the following areas:

• Career and Technology Studies (CTS) and Career and Technology Foundations (CTF)
• Lived Indigenous Experiences
• Languages (Cree, French, Spanish, and Ukrainian)
• Music (Elementary and Secondary)

Interested candidates that are on course to obtain a Bachelor of Education Degree and an Alberta Teaching Certificate are encouraged to apply. The following application documents are required:

• Two (2) Student Teacher Practicum Evaluations (Graduating candidates with one evaluation will be considered and are encouraged to apply)
