Edmonton Catholic Schools in Edmonton invites applications for teaching positions for the 2026/2027 school year. Applicants may apply for substitutes or contract roles aligned with their credentials, with internal opportunities as they arise.

All teaching positions require candidates to be Catholic unless specializing in CTS/CTF, Indigenous experiences, languages (Cree, French, Spanish, Ukrainian) or Music (Elementary and Secondary).

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate is required.

Edmonton Catholic Schools is accepting applications for the 2026/2027 school year. Applications are accepted and interviews are conducted for teaching positions throughout the calendar year. Once hired, successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply for internal contact opportunities or be placed directly into a contract position that is aligned with their credentials, based on the needs of the division.

Edmonton Catholic Schools requires all teachers (substitutes and contract teachers) to be Catholic unless specialized in the following areas:

• Career and Technology Studies (CTS) and Career and Technology Foundations (CTF)
• Lived Indigenous Experiences
• Languages (Cree, French, Spanish, and Ukrainian)
• Music (Elementary and Secondary)

Interested candidates that have a Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate are encouraged to apply. The following application documents are required:

• Cover Letter and Resume (French Immersion candidates: Submit a cover letter written in French)
• Two (2) Most Recent Teaching Evaluations (Experienced Teachers: Contract Evaluations; New Teachers: Student Teacher Practicum Evaluations)
• Faith Formation Plan (Click link to complete document)
• Two (2) Professional References Letters (Dated within the last two years)
• Baptism Certificate (If applicable)
