Government of Yukon seeks a teacher on call for the 2026/2027 school year in Whitehorse. The role involves delivering set lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning climate, and managing students and expectations in the classroom and broader learning environments.
Occasional supervision during recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal may be required. Qualifications include a High School Diploma, experience with children, and a Bachelor of Education or equivalent.

Located on the Traditional Territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta'an Kwäch'än Council, public schools in Whitehorse are operated by three school authorities: Yukon Education (Department of Education ), First Nation School Board (FNSB )and Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon (CSFY ).
Together, we are looking for teacher on calls for the 2026/2027 school year. Teacher on calls replace regular classroom teachers or education assistants on an as needed basis. They are responsible for delivering set lesson plans, maintaining the positive learning climate of the school, managing students and expectations in the classroom and broader learning environments, and collaborating with other educators as needed to ensure the success of the students in their class. Supervising students during recess/lunch breaks as well as participating in arrival and dismissal duties may also be part of the daily responsibilities.
