Job summary

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited is seeking a First Cook for the Grand Villa Casino. This part‑time role offers an hourly wage of $21.25 and requires evenings and weekend availability.

You will lead kitchen teams, manage multiple tasks, and uphold high standards of food quality and service. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of cook experience, a Culinary Arts credential, and any Red Seal or Foodsafe certifications.

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.

What You Bring

• Two to five years in a cook position or extensive culinary experience.
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.
• Solid understanding of meat, starch, sauces, soups and food safety preparation.
• Ability to lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work flexible hours and special events.
