Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a First Cook for Grand Villa Casino. This part-time position offers a competitive wage of $21.25 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package in a fast-paced kitchen.

Join a supportive team at a major national company that values commitment and hard work. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years as a cook (or extensive culinary experience), a Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, and certifications such as Red Seal or Foodsafe are assets.

Qualifications

• Two to five years in a cook position or extensive culinary experience.
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.
• Solid understanding of meat, starch, sauces, soups and food safety preparation.
• Ability to lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work flexible hours and special events.
