Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a First Cook for a full-time position in Canada. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $28.07 and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will lead a kitchen team, ensure high-quality food, and work evenings and weekends as required.

Two to five years of cooking experience and a professional culinary education are preferred. Red Seal or Foodsafe certifications are assets, and a strong focus on food safety and teamwork

• Two to five years in a cook position or extensive culinary experience.
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.
• Solid understanding of meat, starch, sauces, soups and food safety preparation.
• Ability to lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work flexible hours and special events.
