Position Overview:
As a member of management and reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, the Assistant Director of Health&Wellness will be assigned a portfolio of responsibilities which will include assisting in the operation of health and mental health services as well as responsibilities for knowledge and information management, specific internal and external liaison, special projects, policy development and reporting functions.
The Assistant Director of Health&Wellness will assist in ensuring that services are provided using evidence-based practice integrated with a culturally appropriate approach, and that services are delivered following the vision, mission and core values of Dilico.
The Assistant Director of Health and Wellness will work with the Senior Management Team and Managers in Health and Wellness to ensure that services meet the requirements of legislation and service standards required by all funding bodies and levels of government, inclusive of all Provincial and Federal networks. The Assistant Director of Health and Wellness will develop and maintain effective working relations with Managers, staff members and allied community service providers; assist with the development of policies and work plans; and other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Health and Wellness.
Qualifications and Requirements:
University degree in the field of Business Administration and or Health Services and Indigenous Learning. Special health designations are an asset.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel as determined by the Director or designate in relation to service delivery requirements.
A valid Class “G” Driver’s license, access to a reliable personal vehicle, and $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance.
A current criminal and vulnerable record check.
