Job summary

Near North District School Board is seeking a temporary Custodian for Whitestone Lake Central School. The position is open to casuals and starts immediately, with scheduled hours from 6:30 am to 10:30 am and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The role requires a Secondary School Graduation Diploma and prior experience in building and grounds maintenance. The successful candidate will maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with custodial duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma is required.
• Previous experience in building and grounds maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment on a day-to-day basis.
• Duties include grounds maintenance, waste removal, dust control, cleaning of glass/mirrors, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, floor stripping and refinishing, stocking custodial supplies, sterilizing surfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, as assigned, to ensure a clean,safe and healthy environment.
• Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:grounds maintenance,waste removal, dust control, glass and mirror cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing of floors, replenishing and maintaining an inventory of custodial supplies, sterilizing and sanitizing fixtures and surfaces
• Other related duties as may be assigned by the Facilities Services Supervisor, Lead Custodian, Principal, and/or Designate.

Hours of Work: 6:30 am to 10:30 am & 3:00 pm to 7:00pm

Rate of Pay:$26.47 to $ 27.57 per hour
