We’re seeking a Production Creative Director to own the entire production and post-production process for one of our YouTube channels.
You will lead animation quality, editing excellence, pacing, comedic timing, visual clarity, and all creative decisions that impact the final on-screen product.

This role is part of a co-director structure:

• The Pre-Production Creative Director owns story vision, narrative direction, and script/story quality.
• You own bringing that vision to life, transforming storyboards and scripts into polished, highly engaging final episodes.

Your mission is to elevate executional quality, ensure creative consistency, and maintain a high-performance standard across every video.

• Own the execution, pacing, animation direction, and final visual storytelling of every episode.
• Ensure that all production elements faithfully and creatively bring the pre-production vision to life.
• Create a consistent, efficient pipeline that blends creativity with operational excellence.
• Set creative execution standards, templates, workflows, and visual identity guidelines for the channel.

• Direct the animation and editing teams to ensure final output meets top-tier quality and channel identity.
• Oversee pacing, comedic timing, visual clarity, transitions, hooks, and retention-driven editing choices.
• Maintain creative alignment with the Pre-Production Creative Director to ensure continuity.
• Review, approve, and refine all animatics, edits, animations, and final cuts.
• Develop templates and style guides to streamline production.
• Ensure the channel’s visual identity and animation style evolve strategically and consistently.
• Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and improve pipeline efficiency.
• Analyze top-performing videos and integrate learnings into future execution.
• Mentor and guide animators, editors, and producers in best practices for YouTube animation.

• Strong background in animation direction, editing oversight, or creative production leadership.
• Deep understanding of pacing, comedic timing, visual clarity, and YouTube storytelling.
• Highly skilled at refining animatics, improving edits, and elevating final visuals.
• Experience leading small-to-medium creative production teams.
• Strong eye for detail, timing, motion, and cinematic rhythm.
• Comfortable giving constructive, actionable feedback to animators and editors.
• Highly organized, operationally-minded, and able to improve pipelines.
• Passion for animation, storytelling, YouTube content, or digital-first production.
• You love execution, pacing, and visual polish more than early ideation or narrative development.

• Ownership of the entire visual execution and creative quality of the channel(s).
• Ability to elevate the animation/editing identity from scratch or into a premium standard.
