Role

We are hiring a YouTube Manager for A Impact Media. The YouTube Manager is a strategic and creative leader who translates our clients’ business priorities into long‑form video content, and builds the top real estate channels across the country.

You’re not just managing YouTube channels. You’re leading strategy, storytelling, and systems behind uploads that scale our clients’ local authority to hundreds of thousands of impressions a year on YouTube. You are a multifaceted creative fluent in ideation, production planning, copywriting, post‑production oversight, and YouTube analytics. You’ll work to craft standout content that changes how top agents and teams approach media and market dominance. You will lead production, posting, and packaging direction, distill insights into engaging content, and ensure continuous improvement through analysis and feedback loops. You’ll maintain strategic alignment with key business initiatives and collaborate with YouTube Strategists, Client Success Managers, the creative team, and client teams to shape channel strategy, content production, and distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and YouTube Infrastructure
  • Manage editors, thumbnail designers, and pre‑production team across multiple client accounts
  • Support relevant YouTube scorecard metrics (CTR, retention, view velocity, follower growth) and present insights to leadership and clients
  • Support scalable, documented systems for scripting, packaging, and production handoffs
  • Grow and develop direct reports and members of the YouTube Team
  • Explore and test AI tools to accelerate pre‑ and post‑production workflows; prototype AI‑driven content testing, retention analysis, and scripting support
  • Coordinate with marketing, shorts teams, and external stakeholders for distribution and promotion
  • YouTube Strategy and Channel Architecture
  • Support channel growth strategy with input from clients
  • Balance evergreen local content with timely reactions to market trends and experimental formats
  • Ensure every video educates and reinforces the authors’ authority, credibility, and mission while maintaining each brand’s distinct tone
  • Support the visual identity of packaging and run A/B tests on back catalogue
  • Keep scorecard metrics up to date and share weekly insights with team and clients
  • Pre‑Production
  • Support ideation and research sessions
  • Provide feedback on packaging briefs and video outlines
  • Maintain a four‑to‑six‑week buffer of fully approved topics (outlines, rough thumbnail concepts, title options)
  • Post‑Production
  • Own post‑production timelines and upload calendar
  • Conduct regular retention reviews to improve engagement
  • Collaborate with Senior Editor for retention notes and final approvals
  • Create brand guidelines, SOPs, and artifacts to streamline post‑production
  • Results
  • Support 45‑60+ videos monthly within your team, managing around 5–10 clients
  • 90%+ on‑time delivery rate
  • Client channels achieving 100–1000 subscriber growth monthly
  • Support client revenue goals (generating leads monthly and $7.5–$10M+ in sales per client per year)
  • 50–75% of videos outperform baselines on impressions and subscriber growth
  • Lift in subscriber‑to‑view ratios; higher average views and faster velocity
  • Regular documentation of content experiments and A/B tests
  • Improved use of AI and other tools to increase team leverage
  • Positive client sentiment on brand and growth

Requirements

  • Understanding of the YouTube landscape—concepts, thumbnails, titles, and retention editing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical fundamentals and ability to work with data
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in YouTube channel development; bonus points for a large educational channel
  • Proficiency with editing notes tools (e.g., Frame.io)
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Notion)
  • Proficiency with G Suite
  • Knowledge of editing and Photoshop is a plus but not required

Communication Expectations

  • We use Slack as the primary communications tool
  • We value over‑communication and speed in responses
  • Weekly Creative Team Meetings
  • Weekly meetings with Media Manager/Team Leader
  • Weekly meetings with the creative team

Location: Remote (work from home)

Hours: Mon – Fri 9am–6pm EST with flexibility to work weekends when needed

Compensation: $16,800 – $28,800 USD annually with progression from part‑time to full‑time. Highly experienced YouTube strategists can earn $24,000–$36,000 USD per year.
