This tenure-track position begins August 2022. New faculty will teach a variety of courses and contribute through instruction and service to support our Latinx, AAPI, African American students, and other underrepresented groups.

The coordinator role includes: scheduling classes and personnel; recruiting support staff and part-time faculty; advising students; establishing advisory committees; conducting meetings; mentoring; managing budgets; overseeing inventory and equipment; ensuring compliance; reviewing courses and programs; developing curriculum; and developing community collaborations. Activities may require travel and may include evening and weekend work.

Developing evaluation and assessment methods for student performance and program effectiveness, specifically for courses listed in the administration of justice catalog.

• Ability to develop and manage operational budgets.
• Ability to teach at least 5 courses from the administration of justice catalog effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a multicultural environment.
• Curriculum design skills.
• Proficiency with contemporary technology for instruction and coordination.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals with varying skills and goals.

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline plus two years of relevant experience, OR an associate degree plus six years of relevant experience, OR the equivalent as per Board Policy 7211. A master’s degree and relevant experience are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, including disabilities.

The salary range is $57,858 to $82,391, depending on education and experience.
