About the Role
You’ll be working alongside our Lead Desktop Designer day-to-day, while also collaborating regularly with the larger design team, motion graphics team, and user acquisition team to bring ideas to life from wireframes to polished UIs. While the lead drives the vision, you’ll turn concepts into reality with speed, precision, and polish. You’ll also stay responsive to shifting priorities, adapt to quick turnarounds, and always design with developer feasibility in mind. This is not a research- or strategy-heavy role. We’re looking for someone who’s happy to execute, tweak, and finesse. If you love clean pixels, smooth systems, and being the reliable engine behind great product design this is your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate wireframes and rough concepts into crisp, production-ready designs
- Collaborate closely with our lead designer and developers to ensure fast, clean handoff
- Make smart decisions about when to polish vs. when to ship
- Adapt to shifting priorities and irregular work cadences without missing a beat
- Keep designs tight, lean, and respectful of developer constraints
- Bring taste and craft, even to tight-turnaround projects
- Contribute to a shared design system and maintain consistency across platforms
Who You Are
- 3+ years of UI/UX experience with a strong emphasis on desktop design
- A portfolio that shows clean, dev-friendly UI work—bonus for any
- Deep proficiency with Figma and an efficient, systemized approach to design
- Ability to take direction, iterate fast, and not get precious
- Strong eye for detail and consistency
- Comfort working in ambiguity and shifting strategies
- Respect for dev workloads—your work should make their lives easier, not harder
- Reliable, communicative, and fun to work with under pressure
Nice to Have
- Experience designing responsive layouts for desktop applications, with consideration for mobile and adaptive views
- Light working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS (enough to understand constraints)
- Comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney) for speed and inspiration
- Familiarity with accessibility and internationalization basics
