Jobtailor seeks a senior UX leader for Payments to structure and guide the design team across products, focusing on research, systems, and governance.

You will collaborate with product, engineering and compliance, translate regulatory requirements into UX flows, and drive analytics-driven improvements in payment journeys.

Qualificações

• Experience in Payments
• Fluency in checkout concepts: Pix, Open Finance, authorization flows
• Familiarity with Brazilian banking regulation and its UX impact
• Expertise in UX with a robust portfolio
• Portfolio showing research, wireframes, design systems and usability testing
• Ability to handle UX problems in regulated contexts
• Experience with mobile-first design and progressive disclosure
• Strong metrics focus: conversion, drop-off, NPS, task completion
• Knowledge of analytics tools: Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog
• Experience with agile methodologies and OKR-driven design
• Fluent English for international stakeholders

Responsabilidades

• Structure, guide and develop the design team (UX, UI, research)
• Establish design quality standards, tools and processes
• Collaborate with product, engineering and compliance leaders to align the UX vision
• Represent design in strategic decisions for the Payments directorate
• Act as the guardian of the user experience across the Payments directorate's products
• Conduct user research, usability testing and competitive analysis
• Translate regulatory and banking requirements into viable UX flows
• Identify and resolve conversion bottlenecks or points of friction in payment journeys
• Explore applications of AI in payment experiences
• Design interactions that make artificial intelligence understandable to end users
• Maintain balance between intelligent automation and user control
• Ensure visual and behavioral consistency across products
• Document design decisions, patterns and rationale for the team
• Monitor production experience using analytics tools
• Participate in post-mortems for incidents in critical payment flows

Requirements

• Experience in Payments


• Fluency in concepts: checkout, Pix, Open Finance, authorization flows


• Familiarity with Brazilian banking regulation and its impact on UX decisions


• Expertise in UX


• Robust portfolio demonstrating: research, wireframing, design systems and user testing


• Ability to handle UX problems in highly constrained contexts (regulatory, technical)


• Experience with mobile-first design and progressive disclosure


• Deep understanding of metrics: conversion, drop-off, NPS, task completion


• Design & Production


• Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) — design, prototyping, design systems


• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and ability to discuss feasibility with engineers


• Visual sensitivity, typography, color theory and accessibility (WCAG)


• Portfolio that shows progression from concept → execution → validation


• Leadership


• Previous leadership experience


• Ability to mentor junior team members and provide structured feedback


• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with AI/ML: understanding how to present model outputs in UX


• Experience designing risk, compliance or KYC flows is a plus


• Knowledge of analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog or similar)


• Experience in quantitative design research (surveys, data-driven insights)


• Experience with agile methodologies and OKR-driven design


• Fluent English to work with international stakeholders.
