Nidec Aerospace in Sao Paulo is seeking a Test Engineer to design, set up, operate and maintain electrical propulsion test benches for black‑box validation of high‑voltage motors. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure safety, reliability and data quality across aerospace test campaigns.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of related experience, a BSc in Electrical Engineering, and hands‑on expertise with dynamometer systems, data acquisition, and HV protocols.

Formación

  • 5+ years of relevant test engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong background in high‑voltage safety and reliability.
  • Experience setting up and operating dynamometer test rigs.
  • Proficient with torque sensors, speed sensors, power analysers, and thermal sensors.
  • Familiar with RS485, CAN, ARINC-429, and Ethernet test protocols.
  • Experience in HV systems and health and safety standards (OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NR 10, BS EN 50110-1).

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and set up dynamometer test rigs for evaluating electrical motors according to product specifications and testing needs.
  • Manage the operation of dynamometer test rigs to perform tests on a variety of electrical motors.
  • Diagnose and fix technical problems related to test setups, equipment, and data acquisition systems.
  • Work with design and development teams to provide feedback on motor performance and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure all testing procedures adhere to safety regulations and meet company quality standards.
  • Manage maintenance and calibration of test equipment and instruments to guarantee precise and reliable results.
  • Create environmental and EMI/EMC qualification test plans, procedures, and support the test house selection process.
  • Provide local technical support to customers during test campaigns in coordination with our Engineering team.
  • Work with the MRO team, integrating inventory performance management and demand forecasting for Repair & Overhaul.
  • Support Product Development and Service with Service Bulletins and Retrofit Campaigns.
  • Support customers with Spare Parts solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Assist Material Solutions with Spare Parts Forecasting aligned with customer requests.
  • Initial provisioning recommendation for customers.
  • Will travel domestically and internationally to support customers and testing activities.
